Pension contributions
Section 22 of our Statutes requires self-employed members to pay 1.3 times the average pension contribution of the second last fiscal year in 2024.
Pension contributions of self-employed members
Under our Statutes, all registered doctors may informally request their contributions to be reduced to 1.2 times (EUR 1,588.80 per month) or 1.1 times (EUR 1,456.40 per month). This does not require income verification.
Mandatory contributions (highest possible contributions) | EUR 20,654.40/year | EUR 1,721.20/year |
---|---|---|
1.2-times | EUR 19,065.60/year | EUR 1,588.80/year |
1.1-times | EUR 17,476.80/year | EUR 1,456.40/year |
Pension contributions of employed members
Employed members only pay the maximum employee pension scheme contributions if their gross monthly salary reaches or exceeds the income threshold of EUR 7,550. If they earn less, they must pay 18.6% of their gross salary in contributions.
Maximum employee pension scheme contribution: EUR 16,851.60/year
Supplementary insurance
Members who seek benefits greater than those provided when paying the maximum contributions for the basic pension (2024: EUR 20,654.40/year) may improve their and their family’s future security through supplementary insurance.
Supplementary insurance also offers the advantage of personal customisation based on your wishes and expectations. However, only members who pay the above-stated maximum contributions for the basic pension are eligible for supplementary insurance.
Members may largely choose their contributions as specified by law and our statutes. Every year, members may decide whether and which contributions to pay for supplementary insurance.
